Description: Up for auction is Marklin 88731 + 2 supplemental coach sets 87931 to comprise prototype 10 unit train set. 88731: Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR – German Reich Railways) Max Liebermann BR 601: “TEE’ railcar train set with two passenger cars and two powered end units. Painted and lettered for the prototype “Max Liebermann” class 601 was on loan to the DR from Italy, class 601 with special paint scheme operated from July 27, 1990 to September 29, 1990 on the intercity route Hamburg-Berlin. The original Max Liebermann was repainted as the Blue Star Train (BST) currently part of the collection of Augsburg Railway Park. MHI Release - One Time Series 1997. Box marked for 25th anniversary of mini-club. Comes with booklet and re-railer. Includes original 3 pole motors. Circuit boards have been modified in both locomotive end cars with wires bypassing diodes on each circuit board thereby improving running characteristics dramatically: tested and runs beautifully. Locomotive end cars were also taken apart and cleaned of old oil and re-oiled with correct oil. All illumination works perfectly including coaches and headlights. 87931: Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) Trans-Europe-Express (TEE) 3 car set: intermediate passenger coaches.
