ABOUT THE AUTOGRAPHLinda Cristal autographed the card in 1970, while on location in Aqua Dolce, California. She was filming an episode of "High Chaparral" at the Vasquez rocks Natural Area Park. I was invited by one of the producers to watch the filming and asked Linda to actress to sign the card during a lunch break. She was sitting at a makeup table next to a wardrobe and waiting for a rehearsal. I had a briefcase with me (with the card inside) and Cristal used her own pen to autograph the card. ABOUT LINDA CRISTAL Linda Cristal- (1931 – 2020[ was an Argentinian actress. She appeared in Western films during the 1950s. In 1958, she won a Golden Globe Award as "New Star of the Year" for her performance in the comedy film "The Perfect Furlough" with Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:From 1967 to 1971, Cristal starred as Victoria Cannon in the NBC series "The High Chaparral." For her performance, she won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a TV Series Drama in 1971 and received 2 Emmy nominations. She had previously semi-retired in 1964 to raise her two children. But she was coaxed out of retirement by producers and became the last cast member to be added as a regular on the series. Cristal first appeared in films in Argentina and Mexico. She played her first English-language role as Margarita in the 1956 Western "Commanche." Later roles included "Cry Tough" (1959), "Legions of the Nile" (1959) and "The Pharoah's Woman" (1960).Actor John Wayne asked Cristal to play the part of Flaca in his 1960 epic "The Alamo." She also had a key role in the 1961 western "Two Rode Together." Cristal also appeared in episodes of various TV series. In 1959, She played the love interest of Clint Eastwood (and the part of a kidnapped Countess) in "Rawhide" (with both Eastwood and Eric Fleming.)Other series included "The Tab Hunter Show" and "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea"Cristal rarely worked after "The High Chaparral." A few of her last roles included the film "Mr. Majestyk" (1974 with Charles Bronson), the TV mini-series "Condominium" (1980) and the starring role of Victoria Rosse Wilson on the Argentinian TV series "Rousse" in 1985.
