The boot is made of strong nylon with loops on its top edge to be laced to the leg of the spacesuit. It has solid outsole with metal heel lug to fix the boot in an "anchor" - a special platform holding cosmonauts' feet during their work in outer space. This allows cosmonauts to "stand" on the surface of the space station using the hands to work. Interesting facts about this item: developed by NPP "Zvezda" - the original manufacturer of Russian spacesuits and life support systems; rare to find separately from the space suit, the item is the only finding ever met; being the part of the Soviet space program, may be interesting for educational purposes or for collectors; it may become an unusual exhibit for a museum or private collection to attract people's attention.
