Artist Bio: Natalia Sinkovsky was born in Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan in 1959. She took drawing and painting courses while completing her Master's Degree in Architecture in Kazakhstan, and found a passion for combining her studies with her artistic talents. Sinkovsky and her family immigrated to Israel in 1995 where she worked as an interior designer and architect, then expanded into painting professionally in 2002. Primarily painting in acrylic, she applies layers of paint in thick application using a palette knife and later adds small graphic elements. She is inspired by abstract art and modern design, and her Sailboat Series works are clearly influenced by her appreciation for the Expressionist, Baroque and Cubist movements. In her artwork, Sinkovsky employs bright, cheerful colors in line with her optimistic outlook on life.
