This image has been described as "one of the simplest and at the same time one of the most outstanding of all Japanese prints”. It was part of the “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji” series, dating from circa 1830 to 1832. PLEASE NOTE: This woodblock print is not a lifetime printing, it is a posthumous 20th century printing after the artist. It bears the Japanese publisher’s stamp on the verso lower right corner. The woodblock image size measures 10 5/16 x 15 1/16 inches and the sheet size with margins measures 10 9/16 x 15 7/16 inches. The woodblock print comes unframed.
