Due to the numbers: 112946 on the container label my Daddy thought that was the mfg. or shipping date. He wrote numerous letters to various entities trying to confirm date of mfg. He did locate a listing in the 1973 Antique Trader Price Guide to Antiques. and Collectors' Items. In later years this seemed to dispute the 1966 theory some offered. With today's beauty of the internet, I have determined this company was not in business in 1946. So that's out. But these do not have any company imprint on the bottom as other 1966 bowls have. So it's a quandry! What is sure is they were classified as discontinued or obsolete in the late 60s. And shown in 1973 Antique guide. So you decide! They have always been stored in my home and are brand new.
