Just search "John Dusko Jr." on Facebook. This listing is for print # 729 of 750 in perfect condition. This is an professional offset lithograph print that was commissioned by a major museum and not a home inkjet print-out that you find in a lot of Ebay listings. The size of this print, including the border, is 16" x 10". I am selling these remaining prints for my father, John Dusko. He was commissioned by the Reading Public Museum for the original painting so they could also produce these prints. The subject of the painting is a 1933 camelback locomotive that was part of the famous Reading Railroad System in Pennsylvania (As featured in the Monopoly Game). The figures in the painting are the actual men who worked on this train. I remember by father spending hours doing research for this piece, trying to find out all he could from books and personal accounts. The time period is 1933 so there were not many eye witnesses left. This is one of my favorite painting by my Father. I personally own three of these prints. Note: Each print is personally signed and numbered in pencil by my father. Do not miss the opportunity to get this print at a great price. Most of these sold at the Museum for $80 or more. I am selling this print for $49.99! I just found these last few numbered prints. Most of the others are gone. Once these last prints sell out, there will NEVER be any others. About my Dad: (my father has recently passed away)At age 90, John Dusko is a native of Pottstown, Pennsylvania. John has spent the last 60 plus years in Reading, Pennsylvania. As a young boy he always knew his calling was to be an artist and started studying art at the age of 10 with well known local Pennsylvania artist George "Bucky" Walters. John continued his studies in fine art and painting throughout his high school years and graduated in 1954 from the prestigious "New York School of Visual Arts" with a degree in Illustration and Graphic Design. Dusko credits much of his early & present success in the arts to his college teacher and mentor, internationally known artist Burne Hogarth, who at the time Dusko was attending college, was creating the drawings and illustrations for the "Tarzan" character. The influence of Mr. Hogarth can be evidenced in all of John's remarkable "true to life" work. After college and the Army (Korean War), Dusko returned home to work in advertising. As an Art Director, he designed magazines and Christmas Cards, created original illustrations, and accepted numerous personal commissions from clients. His original works can be found in personal collections up and down the East Coast. In 1993, John left advertising to paint full time. He continues to paint every day. And at age 90, he is producing what he considers his best work ever!John Dusko is officially represented by his son, Tony Dusko, as well as The Frame Guild in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.
