Description: The Helichrysum Italicum plant grows wild in Mediterranean regions. It can be found in regions with dry, high altitudes with a lot of sun exposure. Helichrysum is also known as Immortelle or Everlasting. This is because the flowering tops keep their yellow color ever as they dry out. Helichrysum oil has a straw-like, fruity smell, with a honey and tea undertone and the color can range from pale yellow to red. The viscosity is watery. Common Uses: Helichrysum Essential Oil is credited by aromatherapists as being effective for acne, bruises, boils, burns, cuts, dermatitis, eczema, irritated skin and wounds. It is said to support the body through post-viral fatigue and convalescence, and can also be used to repair skin damaged by psoriasis, eczema or ulceration. Helichrysum Essential Oil is believed to soothe away deep emotional stress and diffuse anger and destructive feelings. Mixes well with: Chamomile, Lavender, Clary Sage, Rose, Peru Balsam, Clove and any of the oils from the citrus oil family.
