I will try and list a variety of pieces each week and hopefully you will find items of interest to you.This Harmony Kingdom box figurine named "Eat, Drink and Be Merry" was carved by Peter Calvesbert in 2007. It was hand painted/finished by local craftsmen in the Cotswold area of England. "Peter’s gannet box figurine came about after watching a program about gannets and how they gracefully dive into the sea to catch fish. Gannet after gannet dived perfectly into the water and Peter wished that just one would do a “bomb” instead and make a huge splash. It never happened, so Peter decided to carve his own! The interior shows a fish looking up and realizing it is about to be flattened. The UK is home to two thirds of the gannet population, hence UK2/3 on the lid.
