Description: Up for sale here is this complete recap kit for the Harman-Kardon Citation 16 amplifier. This is all the parts you need to rebuild a Harman-Kardon Citation 16. The old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This is not for the Citation 16A; that kit is here. This kit includes replacements for all electrolytic capacitors, as well as two new 35A 400v bridge rectifiers to replace the main diode bridges. You may need longer bolts to install these. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same parts I use when I rebuild vintage gear. New capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon Muse, and Supertech axial electrolytic and film capacitors. The bipolar axial 10 uf caps are upgraded to 10 uf 250v MPT film capacitors. The main filter capacitors are upgraded to new 22000 uf 100v Chemi-Con screw-terminal capacitors (Made in USA in mid-2022) that are the same diameter so they will fit the clamps. These are MUCH higher capacitance than the originals, but the originals were too underpowered and these should be upgraded for better sound. The new bridge rectifiers will ensure that there are no problems powering the new main filter caps. I will include instructions, but this is a moderately complicated rebuild, though it's not too bad, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with a 100W or 150W incandescent bulb.
