Or, is there a pretty serious ' common ' theme going one here ?? And That-Theme, is ... " Awesome " !!!!! Dang ... and this here was actually the final Grateful Dead run Ever ! at the B.C.T. in Good Ol' Berkeley !?! With the exception of the '94 " Phil & Friends " appearance, which included Bobby - Phil & Jerry ! for a little Acoustic " Unplugged ! " style action ... " like they do it on MTV " ( to Quote Weir ! ) - Ha !! No, but seriously - I myself used to live in the Bay Area, and actually in Bezerkeley proper, for a short time - right on Durant ! And the fact is, that was - and probably still is a very-special place. I have always heard that Phil ! was especially fond of Berkeley, and liked to be a part of the Berkeley Community, whenever & however he could. It's a true shame that the days of the Dead in intimate Venues of this-size were numbered during this time, with this really - being the last-time. And eventually, the Good Ol' Henry J. Kaiser became too-small too - but, after all it is the Greatest Live Rock 'n Roll Band in the World ! we are talking about here ! ... " The Grateful Dead " !!! I'm actually amazed they could even pull-off playing in small places like the BCT in the Mid-'80's ?! I'm afraid that might say something not-so-good about the American masses, and their collective tastes in music ? But hey, just as they say ... More Grateful Dead for us ! However, with that said ... these BCT '86 Tickets Sure-Were " Tough ! " for this run. As rumor does have it ... it was one of the Toughest ! Tickets in the Bay Area - going all the way back to the ' Legendary ! ' 8/13/75 Great American Music Hall Show in S.F.. But, you know ... obviously not " That " tough. Ha ! I actually listened to this run just the other day, and wow ... talk about the Band feeling the Grate ! Vibes of the BCT - and the Cali-strong Deadhead Faithful ! too. Pretty-Amazing !!! A Rare " Pink ! " Background on this one too - Really-Rare ! ... which looks totally Rad ! right-behind Griff's " Aoxomoxoa " style Art Design. Wow !!! Enjoy !!!!!
