Description: Fujikura 88R Mass Fusion Splicer, 12 fiber Ribbon Cables, with cleaver CT50 Fujikura 88R12 is a mass fusion splicer designed to splice up to 12 fiber ribbon cables simultaneously. The wide electrode gap melts the fibers uniformly and has real-time arc discharge control by analyzing the arc’s brightness intensity. The 88R12 does not have active core alignment mechanisms, however, during the discharge, fiber surface tension effects minimize preexisting offsets.The 88R12 mass fusion splicer includes a spare set of 12 fiber V-grooves with electrodes installed and ready to splice as part of the standard package. These spare V-grooves are field replaceable.
