Author Biography Frank Cloutier had an idyllic childhood in the 1940s in rural, north-central Massachusetts and a very non-idyllic plebe year in 1956 at West Point. Somewhat unusually he was commissioned in the Air Force in 1960. He retired from the Air Force in 1980 and then worked in a variety of positions at Sanders Associates, Hazeltine Corporation, Fairchild Corporation and Lockheed. He retired at age 58 and then proceeded to add several hundred thousand miles to their already large total of RVing miles. In addition to his undergraduate degree from West Point, he has earned an MS in Engineering Management from the University of Alaska and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
