Description: Winterhalder & Hofmeier 8 Day Aesthetic Movement Bracket Clock, c.1870.Winthalder & Hofmeier were considered the finest clockmaker in the Victorian era.This galleried Aesthetic Movement mantel clock strikes on a gong every half hour. The blue and white enamel dial has matching spandrels, spade hands and Roman numerals. The 8 day movement is marked W&H for Winterhalder and Hofmeier, Germany. Made circa 1870. Fully serviced and running strong. The detailed enamelling is in A1 condition- no damage or restoration. The cabinet is likewise. 32cm tall, 21cm wide and 13cm deep.
