Field Marshal Henry Evelyn Wood Prominent British WWI Commander Autograph 'Rare'

Description: Field Marshal Sir Henry Evelyn Wood [1838 1919] was a highly decorated prominent British Army officer who began his military career in 1855 and was a veteran of several major conflicts including the Indian Mutiny where he was awarded the Victoria Cross, the Third Anglo-Ashanti War, the Anglo-Zulu War, the First Boer War the Second Boer War and the Crimean War. Wood also served in Egypt where he was appointed as Sirdar and he reorganized the Egyptian Army, and his last assignment was as the commander of the 2nd Army Corps. Listed for auction is the autograph of Field Marshal Sir Henry Evelyn Wood signed on a card. The autograph is signed ''Evelyn Wood F.M.'' and dated ''September 18, 1916'' in black fountain pen. The card measures 4.50 x 3.25 inches, it has trivial toning/wear otherwise it is in very good condition. The autograph is authentic and is a nice example of this prominent British commander.
