Description: English Sterling Silver Table Serving Spoon Hallmarked TT Made 1774 London with Engraved Period Dedication of AW to LAB Presented is a great English sterling silver serving or table spoon with a down-turned round end handle Hallmarked for silver made in London I believe to be by Thomas Towman with a date-mark for silver made in 1774. I have posted pictures of my research in the photos above. This server is elegantly designed with a fiddle down-turned rounded end, a short back mid-drib, flared shoulders and a modeled drop. It is in lovely condition with only some pin-prick dings, some light tip ware, a slight bend in the end of the handle, a period dedication of AW to LAB or TAB and some light scratches from gentle use and care. It is an excellent piece for the collector of fine antique silver.
