Description: Small pocket-sized antiquarian book on the Elements of Moral Science from Francis Wayland, President of Brown University. This book conveys religious and philosophical topics of the time and ends each chapter with questions for discussion. It provides a really interesting insight to the teachings of the mid-19th century. Primary thing to note is that there are no notes inside. There is a previous owner signature dated 1854 and a small pencil code on the inside cover. Otherwise, pages are clean and free of markings. Pages are all browned and the front and rear hinges are cracked/splitting. The panels are a pretty textured grey with red leather textured spine. There is shelfwear including rounded and tearing of the corners. The top of the spine has some significant wear and tear. Some scuffs on the panels (more the rear than the front). Panels have some discoloration from sun exposure namely around the edges. Page # 212 Please read the full description!
