Description: Estate FindEdward Marshall Boehm Fawn Boxer We offer the large Fawn Boxer sculpted in porcelain from 1952-1959 by Edward Marshall Boehm, (1913-1969). In the 1976 Reese Palley book “The Porcelain Art of Edward Marshall Boehm” the Boxer is referenced on page 150.The Boxer is posed in show position and glazed in the fawn colorway. The Boxer is marked "Boehm" in script on the underbelly and measures 9" in length, 3" in width and 8 1/2" in height. The dog sculpture is a larger sculpture and should not be confused with the smaller version also produced by Boehm. The Fawn Boxer is in pristine condition free of any chips, breaks, cracks or repairs. An early design, the Boxer will be a serious acquisition for a museum or collector of early Boehm touched by the artist's hand.
