Early 1920s Iridescent Threaded Lustre Art Glass Shade Gold/Green Hearts

Description: This is a beautiful early 1920s threaded glass lamp shade made by Lustre Art. The shade has gold/green hearts on an iridescent ivory background, overlaid with gold threading; the interior has an iridescent gold finish. The shade has a wide shoulder and a flared, slightly scalloped rim. It measures 5 1/4" high and has a diameter of 5" at the rim and 2 1/4" at the fitter. It is signed "Lustre Art" in the typical script on the inside of the fitter rim. Item #DA00089 Lustre Art was founded in 1920 by former Quezal employees Conrad Vahlsing and Frank Paul after Vahlsing had a falling-out with his father-in-law, who was the founder of Quezal. They used designs and formulas very similar to those of Quezal, and made art glass shades until 1923. Fine condition. We ship promptly via USPS upon receipt of your payment.
