There are some small marks and tarnish on the brass "feathers" that may not be possible to polish off (as is the case with other ceramic/brass figures similar to this). Some of the dark gray marks around the brass "feathers" are solder, not rust, as this item was handmade. Please examine photos carefully. FYI, avoid washing this item with water! Liquid trapped under the brass "feathers" will create more tarnish. The duck figurine in the photos is the actual item for sale from this listing.
