Seiter, 19th Century Melodrama, New York City, Busker, Bowery Here is a rare original Belgian movie poster from the first release of William Seiter's musical melodrama, Dimples. The movie is about a young mid-nineteenth century street entertainer (Temple) who is separated from her pickpocket grandfather (Morgan) when given a home by a wealthy New York City widow (Westley). This poster is from the first release of the movie in Belgium in 1937. It is a rare Pre-War poster that features beautiful artwork of Temple and Westley that is unique to this original Belgian release poster. This poster is in very good condition for its age and seldom comes up for sale or auction. DESCRIPTION: Dimples (1936) 20th Century-Fox, Directed by William A. SeiterCOUNTRY OF ORIGIN / SIZE: Belgium, 24" x 33.25" CONDITION: Very Good Untrimmed Folded Condition. Untrimmed top white border has imprinted theater exhibition information as well as a tax stamp and Fox Europa ink stamp. A 1-inch tear in the bottom border at center fold. A few additional small tears, nicks and minor crinkling in the surrounding white borders. Some fading of printer's information in bottom right border. Slightest of yellowing to the paper. Artwork is vivid and completely intact. Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored rolled for the past few years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
