After Batman saves the life of an innocent condemned man on death row, the prison warden asks him to stick around as "acting warden" until a new one is appointed. But he is puzzled as to why a prisoner that is scheduled to be released the next day attempts to break out the evening before. Batman figures that it may be connected to $250,000 missing since a robbery years before since the con occupies the same cell as the executed criminal responsible for the robbery. Don't miss Batman and Robin in "Batman -- Boss of the Big House!" with art by Bob Kane, Lew Sayre Schwartz and Charles Paris. Plus: Pow-Wow Smith, Indian Lawman in "The Big Pow-Wow!" with art by Bruno Premiani; Robotman in "Robotman, Actor!" with art by Frank Bolle; Impossible -- But True! tale "The Man Who Could Live Under Water!" (featuring Roy Raymond) with art by Dan Barry; and A Case-Book Mystery "The Case of the Broken Ski!" Also: Quick Quiz activity page by H.T. Elmo, and 2-page text piece "Every Home a Theatre." 52 pages, full color.
