Description: Danish Modern MCM Brazilian Rosewood Bookcase / Storage Chest Wall Unit By Poul Hundevad RetroSquad 571 330 0810 Voice & Tx “Always happy to entertain offers”Description This is a really fine Brazilian Rosewood storage cabinet with bookcase hutch, by designer Poul Hundevad. As you may know, the use of Brazilian Rosewood was restricted in the 70s as it was designated an endangered species. It has been illegal to import new Brazilian Rosewood into the USA since then. That said, It is perfectly legal to sell and collect vintage pieces like this one. Composed of two separate parts, the top bookcase section rests securely on the lower storage chest. The bookcase section has four adjustable shelves and the lower chest has a door hinged on the right with two adjustable shelves. Like all Hundevad pieces, this chest and hutch were designed and manufactured in Denmark as part of the very popular Hundevad home / office storage suite. Hundevad created a wide assortment of chests and hutches that worked together to create storage solutions of almost any size. Over the years I have sold many Hundevad sections and can attest to their quality and diversity. This piece can work together with other Hundevad pieces you might have or as a standalone storage piece.
