Description: This guitar started as a 2010 Fender Starcaster 35" Mini. It's been custom painted to replicate Eddie Van Halen's Frankenstat, undoubtably one of the most famous guitars of all time. It's small size makes it a perfect instrument for young players or people with small hands. It would also make a great travel guitar. But don't let it's size fool you, it's not a toy. It plays every bit as well as a full sized strat. As long as you don't go too crazy on the bends it also stays in tune remarkably well considering it's short scale. I can't say for sure that it's a one of a kind but I personally have never seen another one like it. It's definately a unique item. Here are a few details:22.75" scale20 fretsThe single pickup has been upgraded to a Wilkinson alnico 5 humbucker at 8.7K Ohm. (4.4K when coil split). It's lower output provides very clear highs and great articulation. The volume has been upgraded to a push/push to provide coil splitting when you want that classic single coil tone. It has a tone knob on it.The frets have been leveled and crowned and the ends are nice an smooth. It has a classic C shaped neck with a 9.5" radius. It's a very comfortable neck to play.Basswood body, maple neck and rosewood fret board (this production year was prior to them switching to Indian Laurel). It's not a factory finish. It's been left a little bit rough to replicate the original. However it is covered in many laters of polyurethane and is mostly smooth to the touch.
