Description: Circa 1840 Boston Sandwich Glass Company clear flint glass hexagonal candlestick. The yellowish streaks in some photos are a reflection and can be disregarded. A size larger clambroth colored version of this candlestick is pictured on plate 186 (second from right) in the book "Ruth Webb Lee's Sandwich Glass Handbook" by Ruth Webb Lee (see pictures #6 & #7). It is about 3 1/2" wide at the base x 7" high. It has a nice sounding flint glass ringtone as expected. It is in excellent condition. There is no damage. The upper inner socket rim and base outer rim is just a little rough around the edges (in-the-making). The glass is crystal clear, not cloudy, stained, sick, or purple/sun. There are no heat cracks in the socket. This piece is like new and displays exceptionally well. Regarding combined shipping. In most cases, several pieces can be shipped in a single box. When this occurs, I will credit the purchaser's account any shipping difference. In-other-words, I charge exact shipping for same time multiple purchases. I cannot issue these credits until I've purchased the postage so it may take a day or two. I do this often. I have never had a discrepancy complaint. My customers are in very good hands.
