Charles Field Haviland Limoges France GDA Teacup & Saucer Purple Flowers

Description: This is for a beautiful set of teacup and saucer made by Charles Field Haviland of Limoges France. The green backstamp under the glaze, with GDA France, was used starting in 1900 to the 1940’s or into the 1950’s. The red decorator mark was used from 1862-present so the set is somewhere around 70 to 125 years old. This set is so lovely and decorated with delicate purple daisy like flowers on the cup and saucer with 3 sprigs on the inside of the cup as well. I see no chips, crazing, cracks, or stains. Looking at an angle to the light, I see minimal wear on the glaze on both the cup and saucer. There is a speck of ash in the glaze on the inside of the cup. I see no marks, like utensil marks in the glaze looking at an angle to the light, but can see a couple of tiny bumps in the glaze of the saucer, from when it was fired in the kiln also, but they are colorless. There is also a bit of brushed gold outlining the edges of the handle, and the mark you see on the edge of the cup near the handle, is a bit of gold paint. The cup is 2 inches high, 3 & 1/2 inches in diameter and the saucer is 5 & 1/2 inches in diameter. The cup holds 3/4 cup. The porcelain is so fine and thin, the set only weighs about 7 ounces!
