Description: Cauldon Ltd Pattern L6228 Cobalt & Gold Encrusted 10 7/8 Inch Bone China Platter Nice bone china small platter / meat dish. Decorated with a cobalt blue border with gold gilding below and a band of gold encrusted scrollwork above. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse J McD&L Co Brown-Westhead Moore & Co Potters to Her Majesty Cauldon England in puce. Also marked Cauldon LTD in black. This mark was used between 1905 and 1920. Also has the pattern number L6228. The retailer is probably Jones, McDuffie & Stratton of Boston. Has some wear consistent with age and use, and some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 10 7/8 inches long x 8 3/4 inches wide.
