Description: ITEM DESCRIPTION: Remember folks no 20-30% auction buyers premium here on this sale like the auction houses of today are getting. That's an unbelievable savings as well. Also please check out my other eBay lighting items for sale as well. Thank you. I have for sale this super nice and hard to find mushroom form 1905-1925 arts and crafts Bradley and Hubbard leaded lamp. This is not a common lamp by any stretch. These “bean pot” Bradley and Hubbard bases are very desirable and seldom seen. No other makers of the the time period made this style of base other than B and H. Onto the shade. The glass in this shade is very nice and in good form. This is a full sized lamp in that it’s measuring 21.5 inches tall ( as photo’d. the base has the Bradley and Hubbard telescoping feature whereas the owner can simply turn a knob and raise or lower the height of the base to its desired level and then turn the knob back again ) and the shade being 18.5 inches wide. The base is properly signed Bradley and Hubbard please see photo, and its in original patina, with sockets matching each other in patina as well, and it’s in fine working order. There is no damage at all to the very heavy base and it’s been rewired with proper period style cloth cord and old style socket. As for the shade that is also in very nice overall original condition. Great quality glass with granite texture on the inside and flat/smooth on the outside. Good coloration as you can see. No losses to the glass nor missing pieces thereof. A few tight age lines ( as to be expected for a lamp 100 plus years old )here or there. I would say 4-5 but nothing that stands out, you really have to look for them ) and the leading of the shade right and right throughout. All in all a super nice arts and crafts style lamp by one of the best makers there ever was you cant beat that. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. If you live in the following radius or just outside it, we should communicate about not using a major carrier, so it has a better chance of survival and minimizing damage or a damage claim as well. If this option is something you would like to discuss, email me, and if there is a shipping amount posted on the listing, we would honor that dollar amount and not go over it so it doesn’t cost you any further money. TO ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS Bidders please remember that I am selling antiques and that there should be a degree of expectation on your part in knowing that there will be normal aging and minor imperfections towards an item that is 75 to 100 years old. Chances are if there aren't any, it's a newer item and you shouldn't want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I really don't want to do a refund because the finial ( typically a 10.00 piece ) isn't perfect on a 2,000.00 lamp. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. It seems the more experienced an antique dealer or buyer is, the more understanding of condition they are. That being said, if you think you're going to be a difficult buyer because you want perfection in a 100 year old piece, please purchase another ebay seller's product. ebay has made it very difficult for sellers in the past few years yet I'm a good seller who wants to be fair and all I ask for is a fair buyer to do business with. Thanks for your understandingq
