The crushed technique gives it a visual appealing light & shadow texture. The photo shows a 10" height with diagonal sides and straight peaks. The gusset (the fabric between the peaks) and backs of lappets use a gold shantung fabric for more body. The two other photos show a 6" tall mitre with straight sides. There are several ways to customize the Mitre, however if you simply want the one shown in the listing photo just email me "main photo" with your head size. For changes please see below. This is a "Your Mitre, Your Way" listing Besides a custom fit to the customer's head size and a choice of heights the Mitre's sides can be either straight or diagonal. The peaks straight or curved. The choice of heights are: 6", 7", 8", 9", 10" or 11". A 12" height is available for an additional $12. The gusset and inside lining can be red instead of gold. The inside has two, leather-type head bands machine sewn in for a non-slip fit, to protect the lining and to increase the comfort. The peaks are made of lightweight, water-proof plastic that easily molds around the head providing a snug yet comfortable fit. The lappets are 15" long, they are another aspect of the Mitre that can be customized to be longer or shorter (2" are added to a 12" tall Mitre).
