Description: Beckman SW28 swinging bucket centrifuge rotor with matched set of 6 buckets, 117.3 grams each.Marked "28,000 RPM"Good seals on the buckets. Clean inside. Threads could use a little cleaning but are not corroded. Looks like somebody had trouble unscrewing the cap on one bucket and used pliers on the pretty red anodized finish. The pins that the buckets pivot on are in great shape. The claws on the rotor that the bucket pins hook into are also in great shape, traveling smoothly against appropriate spring force. On the rotor body, there are a couple of streaks of white paint from some other object that came in contact with the chalkboard-like anodized finish of the rotor.I don't have the correct centrifuge to test this on, so unable to assess balance, etc., so take whatever precautions you are accustomed to takimg when testing an unfamiliar rotor on your machine. Something this big and heavy, spinning at 28000 rpm, has the energy (~200 kJ) to do grievous damage if something goes wrong. As always, I assure your satisfaction with a 30-day return privilege.
