They are part of the foreign exchange certificates Bank of China series. The Bank of China started issuing these 0.1 Chinese Yuan banknotes in 1979. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1994. The Chinese foreign exchange certificate of 10 Fen has an image of the Huangguoshu waterfall on the Baishui River in Anshun, China. The ten fen certificate from the Bank of China has a value equivalent to 0.10 Renminbi Yuan.
