Description: ARTIST GLENN E. MILLER Artist Glenn Miller Glenn Miller is an Ocean Springs/ New Orleans based artist. Glenn E. Miller was born Dec.1946 and raised in N.W. Pennslyvania. He traveled south in the late 1960s, and studied art in New Orleans, apprenticing with Eugene Loving for Etching. He then met Artist Charles Richards with whom he began a long friendship and study of Oil Painting. Glenn earned an art degree from the University of New Orleans and went on to Tulane where he studied printmaking with Jim Steg. In the 1980s, Glenn moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and began a highly collected series of etchings on preservation. After suffering great loss of art and equipment during Katrina and then living in a fema trailer, he returned to his modernist roots, rediscovering Indian Space Painting... which he now mainly practices. With the Covid Pandemic and periods of isolation and contemplation, Glenn has taken time to pursue and understand in paint Abraham Lincoln, subject of a lifelong interest. It is exciting to make available and share this work with you here as well as other current work.
