Description: Antique Victorian Martin Hall & Co Sterling Silver Grape Shears Scissors c.1863. The shears bear the Lion and Crown marks of sterling silver made in Sheffield, England. The makers mark of Martin, Hall, & Co is clear and is the mark used between 1863-1880. On the opposite face of the inner cutting part of the shears bears the date letter of G. It also has the stamp of the left facing profile of Queen Victoria as a duty mark, indicating a manufacturing date during her reign of 1838-1890. The shears measure 7" long, 2 1/8" wide when closed and 5 1/4" wide when open. The shears weigh 108 grams as shown. Great condition for its age. The shears have some minor patina across the silver as shown. The shears do not close fully as shown. Please refer to photos for complete condition.
