For your consideration is a nice, slightly curved, photograph, identified in ink on the verso as "Snow Scene, Sandwich". It measures approximately 7" x 4 1/2" (including border). The actual image measures 6 7/8" x 4 1/4". This offers an interesting view of a large house as the falling snow covers ground and trees. The view was photographed by Nickerson and Smith of Provincetown, Mass. and is part of the "Cape Cod Views" series. The image is light (all the snow doesn't help) and there is a small area of loss in the lower left corner. The lower right corner is creased and broken. It appears the mount used was originally intended for an image from a different series as the back bottom reads "Cape Cod Ship Canal" (see scan). You will also find toning and overall soiling. Please view the enlargeable scans carefully and contact me with any questions.
