Antique Large Silver Samovar, 24 1/2" Vintage Hotel Silver Water Urn Royal Hotel

Description: Please read entire description about condition.This vintage samovar or water urn is very large. It is a statement piece.It is made out of silverplate with ornate designs of scrolls and flowers. It has a lid with a finial, two fancy handles, a spigot, and is on a stand with paw feet. Inside is a removeable silver pipe roaster or tube. These were used in samovars to burn charcoal or wood to heat the water.On the medallion on front it says Royal Hotel. It is blank on the back. I cannot find a hallmark.I believe this water urn was used in the Ye Olde Centerton Inn in NJ.It would look lovely at a wedding.This silver water urn needs restoration. Though stable, the finial is crooked and has a gap (9th photo). The stand has some small splits (10th photo) and may not be original to the piece -- I feel it would be more stable on the table without the stand but it is included as I purchased it together. The spigot has a small leak where it enters the body. It is unpolished. Price reflects.
