Description: You are invited to bid on an antique pocket watch by John Robinson of Liverpool with silver case. I’m not a pocket watch guy but will try to describe as best I can. Please understand if I error. This watch was part of an auction acquisition. No name on the dial but the name John Robinson is engraved on the movement along with Liverpool and a serial number of 554. This movement has the name John spelled in an older shortened version as Jn with a small o over the Jn. The serial number seems to be a low number also. Makes me wonder if this is an early watch put out by Robinson. During my research I saw other movements with his first name spelled out John. The watch has issues. It does not work and there are fine break lines on the dial. But the case is silver even though it is heavily tarnished. Although it has a passant lion and other English marks it was acid tested and tested as silver. Looks like the case maker was someone with the initials EW. This watch is being sold for repair, parts, and it’s silver case. I appreciate payment in 48 hours. I ship within 24 hour of receiving payment. I will ship USPS. Please ask any questions you have before bidding. Study every photo for the best description of the item. Thanks for visiting my auction. Proudly selling on eBay for 22 years..
