Description: Antique gilt-bronze and white marble clock. France, circa 1870. This is a PRETTY and ANTIQUE gilt bronze shelf clock ( desk close/ garniture clock ) in the Louis XVI taste. Very high quality bronze casting details, thick bronze, thick gold plated layer. All decorated with flowers and motifs decoration, garlands, roosters. Ending with a flame bronze finial. Excellent hand chiseling. White marble. White enamel circular dial, with Roman and Arabic numerals, covered with its original convex glass. Original key included. Condition report : I cleaned, waxed the bronze and the marble. Bronze gold well preserved. Bronze with no dents, damage or any missing pieces. Marble with 2 tiny flea bites at the front bottom ( see photo ). Original key. Enamel dial well preserved. Heavy wear to the back glass ( see photo ). It is in a working condition, ring every half hour, in working movement but not precisely. Need to adjust the mechanism. Clean and ready to be placed. GOOD CONDITION
