Description: Magnificent RARE Antique French Serves porcelain patch snuff box.Hand painted drum player from Lyonnais.Infanterie 1724 ( I think referring to the time period of the subject on the lid) on lid in extremely good condition, crisp, clear. ARTIST SIGNED Body of box has hand painted flowers. I do not know the year made, but this was made a long time ago. Trimmed in either gold or brass.(it looks like gold to me but I took many many photos).BOTTOM marked with guilder’s mark. Up close, EXTREMELY up close you can see the trim is soldered - Note color of gold trim- on to the porcelain painted top. Looks like the gold solder is the light color? Inside lid and bottom have a painted flower Please see signed initials on bottom and all 12 photos for best description The decorative clasp is a tiny bit bent so the box is not a perfect closure or it is the hinge but I do not want to try to bend either into perfect place. The next owner can do that if desired. Please select shipping. Thank you! Will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. I suggest taking out additional mail insurance for a very modest fee. Thank you for viewing this spectacular offering.
