Description: Antique French Academic Life Drawing, Paris Art School, Woman, Mother and Baby, 1912 This antique French drawing of a seated woman with baby is a life study done in a Parisian art school. There is two other sketches of babies on the right hand side of the paper. It is dated, “29 octobre 1912”. As shown by the watermark on the paper, it was executed on Lalanne paper, art supply manufacturer and dealer in Paris. This drawing is in very good condition, with the exception of folds, small tears on the edges, a small hole on the lower part and tiny holes from pins used by the artist to attach it to the drawing surface or to the wall.
