Description: Antique English Victorian Barbola oval large Wicker Basket with original old creamy white paint. This fantastic Barbola basket has gorgeous gesso roses/flowers on 2 sides. Original old wood bottom, frame is very sturdy, as is the handle and basket. In excellent antique condition with no missing Barbola flowers, there may be some crack lines in the gesso material due to age, these are not broken. The wicker is in amazing condition with only one small broken piece on the side at the bottom of the handle, (see pictures where I circled this area,) the picture that follows will show you how it was originally and how it is on the opposite side of the handle where the handle attaches to the basket. Otherwise in wonderful condition. So many amazing uses for this basket, I can see it decorated for Easter, a wedding, bridal or baby shower, filled with gorgeous items to give as a gift basket, rolled towels for the powder room, or to gather flowers in your garden. There are so many wonderful uses, it would definitely standout and draw the attention of your family and guests. Would also be amazing in a Shabby Chic style room or home. The basket Measures 17.5" across from the handles, 15.5 from front to back across the basket, 8.5" in height from base to top of basket 23.5" in height from bottom to the top of the handle, the interior depth is 6.25", the interior width is 12".
