Description: One reference dates this mark from 1904 to 1906.Mark information from e-limoges.com website which has a wealth of information listed on all makers of Limoges.Apparently, since Langie was only with Barny & Rigoni for two years, this makes this mark fairly rare. Another Reference for this rare Barny & Rigoni mark was found of page 339 of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, Third Edition by Mary Frank Gaston. According to Gaston, they began making porcelain in Limoges France around 1894. The company went through several partnership changes during it's short life. The first partnership was Barny & Rigoni and Redon and when Redon left, it became Barny & Rigoni and Langle. They closed shop less than a dozen years after they opened and as a result, few examples of this company's work turns up. This platter has the original flag mark, mark 1 in Gaston's book which was used from 1894 to 1902.
