Description: I believe this once was made to be a layover pillow sham. The piece measures 27 1/2 in wide by 61 3/4 in Long. The length measurement includes the lace ruffled trim which is approximately 3 1/2 in on each side. The piece features wonderful antique soft colored cotton dimity Fabrics on one side and more primary colors on the other side. Each end is trimmed with Gorgeous antique embroidered lace. I just love all the antique Fabrics in this textile. The two sides are yarn tied together and there is a very light padding. This piece is in as found condition and there are conditions. There are several small holes in both the lace and fabric see photos. There are also a couple of spots most notably the huge Ink Spot on the lace on one end. I can just see someone back in the day laying in bed writing a letter probably with this layover pillow sham put on the side next to the ink bottle. Similar today when we paint our nails in bed and spill the nail polish. I call it charm you may not. It is what it is.. I just think this would make a Charming table topper in A Primitive farmhouse or Cottage setting. Of course I am also and admirer of all old Fabrics especially those old dimities.
