Description: In this listing there are various Ancient Greek/Roman coins chosen at Random. I will do my best to give all the information about the coin in this description. However, some have little detail or are unknown to me. But I'll do my best. 1: Alexander the Great III AR Tetradrachm. 336-323BC. Alexander became king once his father, King Phillip II of Macedon was murdered. Alexander would go on and conquer most of the known world never losing a battle until his death. He died in 323BC. 29mm/ 16.75grama. 2: Faustina II (Wife to Marcus Aurelius). AE Sestertius with nice patina. This coin was minted in Rome 175-180AD. The obverse shows Portrait of Faustina facing right; with Juno on the reverse. 30mm /20.90grams. 3: Emperor Valerian I AR Antoninianus. Minted in Antioch 257-259AD. Obverse: IMP VALERIANVS P F AVG. /Reverse: FELICITAS AVG G. 21mm/2.72 grams. RIC 282; SEAR 9936; C 57. 4: Emperor Hadrian AR Denarius RARE. Obverse: HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS/Reverse: COS III. 19mm/3.89 grams. 5: Alexander the Great III silver Drachm. 336-323BC. Portrait of Alexander facing right with lion headdress./ Reverse: Zues seated on stool with right arm extended holding an eagle with Alexander 's name behind him. 18mm/3.99 grams. 6: Ancient Greek coin of Chalkis, Euboia. AR Hemidrachm. Minted 340-294BC. 15mm/3.41 grams. SEAR 2484 var. 7: Celtic Gual silver quinarius of the Aedui Tribe. Minted in the 1st century AD. Obverse: Abstract stylized Celticized helmeted head of Roma left./Reverse: Abstract stylized Celticized horse galloping left, above and below, annulets. 16mm/1.90 grams. 8: Emperor Trajan Decius Silver Antoninianus (249-251AD). Obverse: IMP C M Q TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG./Reverse: VICTORIA AVG. 20mm/3.80 grams. RIC 29c. 9: Ancient Greece coin of Antiochos VII AE 18. Seleukid Empire, winged Eros and headdress of Isis. 15mm/5.06 grams. Wonderful patina. 10: Roman Emperor Aurelian Silvered Antoninianus coin. Obverse: IMP AVRELIANVS AVG./Reverse: IOVI CONSER; 'Q' in exergue. Ruled between 270-275AD. 17mm/4.02 grams. 11: Roman Emperor Victorinus (Gallic Empire) Billon antoninianus. Obverse: IMP VICTORINVS P P AVG./ Reverse: SALVS AVG. Beautiful radiate coin. 16mm/2.88 grams. 12 and 13: These two coins are about the same, and I know very little about them. I do know they are both from Carthage before Rome sacked and destroyed the city. They both have a portrait of whoever their leader was at the time, and both have a horse traveling right on the reverse. The brown coin is 17mm/3.64 grams. While the latter of the two is 15mm/3.00 grams. A beautiful collectors piece from a long lost civilization. 14, 15, and 16. These 3 coins were just thrown in with the lot. I don't know anything about them so it could be a good learning project for you. I know they come from either the late Roman empire or early Byzantine empire. The biggest of the 3 appears to say CONSTANS AVG on the Obverse. The reverse appears to have two soldiers with a military standard between them. The word SHANI (I think) is the word below them. You can read GLOR starting from the right, but the rest I can't make out. It's dimensions are 16mm/1.40 grams. The second coin has the portrait on the obverse facing right. Possibly the emperor. The reverse has a large wreath, but nothing can be made out on the coin. It's dimensions are 14mm/1.33 grams. The third coin is from the Mauryan kingdom, but that is all I know about it. It appears to be an early Islamic coin dating back to the late BC period to early AD. The dimensions are 9mm/1.24 grams. There are no refunds for this listing.
