Description: American Frontier Nickel Set, (6) Indian Head Buffalo Nickels, dates are 1936, 1937, 1925, 1935, other two are not readable. In case mounted on card; however card has signs of wrinkles/creases on back corners, case sealed in good condition with minor scratching/scuffing. 1995 SSCA, these pieces are known as Buffalo, Bison or Indian Head nickels. James E. Fraser designed this nickel employing three different Indians as models. The bison was modeled after "Black Diamond" in the New York Zoological Gardens. Weight 5 grams, Composition 750 copper, 250 nickel. Case approx size 6 x 4" x 1/2".
