ALTEC LANSING VALENCIA MODEL SPEAKER FOAM INSERTS / HORN SURROUNDS Pair / Set

Description: Altec Lansing Valencia model foam surrounds / inserts. IF THIS IS LISTED FOR SALE, IT IS READY TO SHIPOUT TO THE BUYER. I DO NOT LIST THEM UNLESS I CAN SHIP THEM RIGHT AWAY. ""NEW" ALTEC VALENCIA MODEL SPEAKER FOAM / HORN SURROUNDS, ONE PAIR / SET OF TWO IN BLACK. These are hard to photograph due to them being Black. They look better up close and in person then in the pictures. These are made with four pieces of foam glued and SPRAY COATED.. These have much more detail then my other foams I have listed. And are much harder to make & almost twice as thick as the others I sell, Since I have to use a thicker more expensive foam sheet to make them. That is why the price is higher on these then my other Altec foams. JUST TO NOTE ! The only part of these foam inserts/surrounds you will see is the face and inner face part of the foam when installed. So I do not coat the back side on them as heavy in black. They fit ALTEC LANSING VALENCIA model speakers pictured only, Hand made, Polyurethane foam inserts / surrounds. I decided to make a set for the VALENCIA speakers by request! An Audio File out there provided me with all dimensions & pictures I needed to make them for an original unmolested speaker. So here they are. I have never owned a set of these speakers, The pictures you see with the foams in the speakers are prototypes and customers who purchased them from me. I can only imagine that they would benefit greatly from a set of them in LOOKS and possible Sound quality. And help stop any resonance of the aluminum horn body by contacting it all around the horn and dampening any vibration that might be present. The black coating even has a crusty surface texture just like I remember them having NEW for my model 19's. You will receive BLACK COATED one's as in the first three pictures of this auction when you purchase them. I have seen several versions of this series of speaker so be sure yours is the correct looking speaker before you purchase these surrounds. Some of these have the BASS REFLEX ports next to the horn sides. These should still fit but will block the reflex port when installed. I am NOT sure if that will effect it's performance any with those being covered. The pictures I show have the reflex ports in the face of the speaker next to the Woofer NOT next to the horn. some have the reflex ports on the lower sides of the woofer's as well. These will still fit those speakers. If you have any doubts or worries contact me.! So look at my pictures closely. If you've priced high quality dense foam you know it is rather pricey ! I'm offering a set or pair for sale to anybody that has a set of these speakers & doesn't have them for the horn section of the speaker. If you see most of these speakers that are selling on eBay, non of them have these inserts in them only fiberglass stuffing. I'm not even sure they had them originally, I assume NOT. But my model 19's did and I'm sure yours could use them. Since they are hand made they will & do have some minor imperfections. No two foams are alike so keep that in mind. If this is a problem do not purchase them. I DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS ON THIS ITEM. I'm selling these AS IS . You are mainly paying for the time / labor it takes to make them. As well as the cost of the foam, glue & coating material. If you have a set of these speakers don't miss out ! These only fit original VALENCIA model Altec speakers. They are 3-3/8" deep and fill the whole area up around the horn section. NO OTHER FILLERS are needed. All of them fit as they should to original unmolested speakers. If you have any fiberglass or other stuffing around the horn section in your speakers that will have to be removed before installing these foam surrounds. Made of heavy 45lb. compression high quality Polyurethane dense foam. (The SPEAKERS I show are NOT FOR SALE. ONLY THE FOAM SURROUND) Apparently the people that have purchased them from me tend to like them. Check out my feedback on them (Received as Seller )! I will be shipping these out in a small box due to shipping cost. So these will be compressed down in that box. You will have to set them out for some time (A day or two) to regain their shape which is what I had to do when I received the foam to make these with. "DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN THE BOX ANY LONGER THEN YOU HAVE TO, AFTER YOU RECEIVE THEM. " I'm sure they will be just fine even if you do ! When you go to install these surrounds they will have to be squeezed a little on the top center cross section to fit them between the horn section and the cabinet into place. So you will have to take a little time and care when doing that ! Start with that section first and the rest of the surround will be much easier to install. They should be a snug fit all around the horn when in place. This is the recommendation I get from the foam manufacturer below, when I receive their product. But they vacuum pack it down to a tenth of it's size when I get it. I let it set for a week before I start to cut on it. The foam has a 100% rebound rate over a short time.FOAM PACKAGES NEED TO BE OPENED IMMEDIATELY ONCE YOU RECEIVE THE PACKAGE. DO NOT LET THE FOAM SIT UNOPENED FOR MORE THAN A WEEK! DO NOT OPEN WITH A BOX CUTTER! USE A BALL-POINT PEN OR A PENCIL. START BY MAKING A LITTLE INCISION AND BREAK IT FROM THERE. So be aware of long shipping times if you purchase these from outside the USA. And costs seem to be higher as well. I have nothing to do with that! I do not charge for packaging, So be aware that will cost you extra through eBay global shipping NOT ME. & these have made it across the globe intact for over a month of travel time in their shipping box with NO problems so fare. I just received back a set of model 19 foams that I sold to a person in Germany, due to an incorrect address I was given. It took them over four months to return back to me through customs and The USPS and German post. They survived the shipping ordeal just fine in the box I ship them in..
