Description: Island by Aldous Huxley. First edition, first impression, published by Chatto & Windus in 1962. The final book by Huxley published one year before is death, a counterpart to Brave New World, set on the utopian island of Pala. Unclipped dust jacket is generally tidy, fading to the spine and a little to the back panel, a couple of small tears. Red cloth covers are spotted, otherwise sharp, square, and securely bound. The upper board is very slightly splayed, previous owners neat inscription in ink to the free endpaper, pages clean and bright. Good + condition. Will be carefully packed in a box. Please see my other listings for more Aldous Huxley books. Thanks for looking.
