We picked up a pretty large collection of slide from the 1960s to the early 1970s several years ago and just put them in one of the closets in the house. We got the collection form a lady who worked for and retired from the Red Cross. She moved to Korea before the Korean War and before it was split into North and South Korea. She later moved to Vietnam during the Korean War before moving back home to the states and retiring from the organization. There are some really cool slides in here of some from throughout North Africa, Asia and the United States. For sale is a group of seven 35mm slides from 1963 and 1967.These slides show cool shots of several glaciers in Alaska including the Portage Glacier, Mendenhall Glacier and Malanuska Glacier. Two of the slides do not specify the glacier shown in the slide, but given that the months and years coincide with the other slides, we trust they are of the same glaciers.These slides all have the month and year on the cardboard sleeves as well as a hand written description of the shot by the original owner.As you can see, they are in excellent, undamaged condition and ready to be turned into photographs if desired.PLEASE NOTE: Our lighted table doesn't have a very strong light, so the slides aren't as bright as they would be when lit by a stronger light, such as in a projector. However, the slides are quite a bit brighter than shown in the pictures. These slides will be shipped in a padded envelope via media mail with the USPS.
