Description: Vintage 7" Vinyl Lot #53 - Six from the 1950s, Four from the 1960s in a 10-Sleeve "My Record House" Record Album - A Nice Variety Of 45s Comments: The records were all fully play-tested after cleaning. The red/burgundy record album with embossed front cover looks great with light wear. All of the records were in the album when I acquired it. This batch of 10 records were reasonably well cared for by the previous owner. All of the sides play well and are easy to enjoy. Sound quality is exceptionally good on most of the sides. Record Condition (for the eyes): Visually, the records are all in good looking VG, VG+ or EX condition. They all have some gloss along with some surface scuffs. Further condition details can be found in the list of titles below. Record Condition (for the ears): The music sounded great on every single one of these records. I was pleasantly surprised at just how enjoyable listening to this batch of records turned out to be. This was a fun batch of records to listen to with some diversity of styles. Record surface noise levels vary from record to record and were generally not significant. In no case was surface noise overpowering or a significant distraction except maybe for a little bit on the B-side of the Rosemary Clooney record (but even that isn't awful). The music prevails. There were no skips or sticks of course. Record Labels Condition: Seven of the records have a sticker placed on one of the labels. Otherwise, the labels are mostly decent looking. Here is what is on the records (with issue year preceding the artist names):1967 - The Bachelors - Oh How I Miss You / Marta - VG Glossy with light surface scuffs - Background record surface noise is negligible on the A-side but there is some groove-wear distortion on the "Marta" side.1955 - Johnny Maddox and The Rhythmasters - The Crazy Otto (Medley) / Humoresque - VG Glossy with light surface scuffs - Minimal background record surface noise for these two piano-based instrumentals.1954 - David Carroll And His Orchestra - In A Little Spanish Town / Bumpty-Bump - VG Shiny, light surface scuffs, a few persistent fingerprint marks - Background record surface noise is negligible during these two very cool instrumentals.1966 - Brad Swanson and his Whispering Organ - Alley Cat / Spanish Eyes - VG+ Perfect rich tone with negligible background record surface noise for these two organ solos.1951 - Les Paul with Mary Ford - I Wish I Had Never Seen Sunshine / Josephine - VG Nice and glossy, but a surface scuff on the B-side produces some persistent, light ticks for much of the side. Background record surface noise is otherwise mild.1965 - Charlie Bare - Do-Wacka-Do / Johnny Singer - Ode To The Little Brown Shack Out Back - High-end VG Plays great with mild background record surface noise and great, rich tone1952 - Teresa Brewer - Hello Bluebird / Till I Waltz Again With You - High-end VG General background record surface noise is negligible with just a few light ticks.1963 - Allan Sherman - Hello Mudduh, Hello Fadduh! (A Letter From Camp) / (Rag Mop) Rat Fink - EX Plays about like a new record with negligible background record surface noise1952 - Rosemary Clooney with Percy Faith & his Orch. - Half As Much / Poor Whip - Poor Will - VG glossy with a B-side scuff that produces some clicks during the first half of the B-side - Otherwise, background record surface noise is negligible1951 - Frankie Laine & Jo Stafford with Paul Weston & his Orch. - That's Good! That's Bad! / In The Cool, Cool, Cool Of The Evening - VG Background record surface noise is negligible.Album Type: The records are housed in a My Record House branded, ten-sleeve record album. The album is approximately 7 1/2 inches tall and about 9 inches on the longest side. Album Condition: VG+. This "My Record House" album has a nice, embossed front cover. The front and back covers of the album look great with only light wear/light scuffs. There is, of course, a little more wear on edges and at corners with the worst being at the top corner of the spine side where the front cover meets. The album is holding together very well - very solid. There is a sticker on the spine side. The stiff sleeves on the inside are in excellent condition with only minor wear. A previous owner, who put this collection together, made an index on lined paper and glued it to the inside front cover. The index matches the records inside the album sleeves.
