Description: Up for bid are a pair of Lewmar 64 Self Tailing winch. These are 2 speed winches. Please take a look at the high resolution pictures to get a sense of what wonderful condition these are in. I have also included a video showing the winches as well. These have been stored indoors since being removed from the boat. I just completely disassembled both winches, degreased and cleaned all the metal parts in Mineral Spirits. I then ran the gear sets, spindles, pawls, collets, and drums through a hot tank ultrasonic cleaner. I ran the roller bearings, spacers, and jaw kits through the warm tank ultrasonic cleaner. When I tell you the internals of these winches are clean im not exaggerating! I re-lubricated all the internal moving parts with a light coat of teflon based grease, except for the pawls, which were oiled with Pawl Oil. While I was servicing the winches I replaced all 8 pawl springs with new Lewmar units. As you would expect they turn wonderfully in both high and low gear. These are very powerful with a 64:1 Power ratio in the low gear! Perfect for any number of applications on your sailboat. A huge upgrade over a non - self tailing winch!!!! Much safer to to use than a traditional winch, because it allows you to keep you hands off of the rope when it is under load on the drum! The winches are approx. 10-11/16 inches tall and the diameter of the base is approx. 9-1/8 inches across. These winches will still look like jewelry on the deck of your boat, and pull on lines like you would not believe! These winches are ready to install.
