Description: Offered are these two soft cover books about the 23rd Psalm, one antique and one vintage. Included are: 1) "The Lord is my Shepherd", written by Robert C. McQuilkin and published in Columbia, South Carolina by the Columbia Bible College. This book about "The Psalm of Victorious Life" has a 1938 copyright date and appears to be a first edition. This is a rare find; at the time of original listing I could not find any other copies of the first edition of this book for sale on eBay, only modern reprints. The book is approx. 7 3/8" x 4 7/8" and contains 36 pages. It is in good to very good condition. The soft cover has no tears or holes, but does have wear around the edges and moderate soiling. I see no missing or torn pages and all of the pages are well-attached to the cover. They have yellowed but are otherwise mostly clean. I see no writing in the book except for a few minor markings in pencil, probably erasable if desired. 2) "The Shepherd Psalm-A Meditation", written by William Evans and published in Chicago by the Bible Institute Colportage Association. This book has a 1921 copyright date and appears to be a first edition. There is a small green illustration at the beginning of each chapter. The book is approx. 7 1/2" x 4 1/2" and contains 84 pages. It is in good to very good condition. The soft cover has no tears or holes except for some very short tears at the top and bottom of the spine. There is also some wear around the edges and light soiling. The pastedown photo has no wear and the tie strings are intact. I see no missing or torn pages and all of the pages are well-attached to the cover. They have yellowed but are otherwise mostly clean. There are occasional notes, underlining, etc. written in pencil, probably erasable if desired, and a gift inscription written in ink, dated 1941, on the first blank page in the front. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
